The truth about Samsung and LG’s flexible smartphone display
they'l change the concept a little bit not much than that...!!
In a recent press conference, LG cell company announced that its flexible AMOLED are going to enter in a mass production very soon. this rumors comes out after the rumors of launching of samsung Galaxy Note 3 different with its own unique curved display, said to be and popularising as name Galaxy Round.
Traditional AMOLED displays were made by applying some chemical substance to a thin piece of glass and then the electronic components that control the display above that. Flexible displaying technology uses a very thin, bendable plastic instead of that glass used in earlier displays, but they are awfully similar otherwise if we look them generally.
The plastic provides the screen some flexibility but the electronic bits become the limiting factor in flexibility. Those bits are able to tolerate some deformation—within reason. If you will saw flexible displays visions of folding up a phone like a high-tech square to stuff it in your small curvy pocket, this isn't the displaying invention we've been looking for such a long time. At a radius of curvature of 400 mm, Samsung display has reported maximum deflection of just 18 degrees, or 5 mm. LG has an even more modest radius of curvature of 700 mm.
This means that we'll be seeing very little other than wide, gentle curves, with a deflection not exceeding 18 degrees. far from the right angles and even more and much farther from smartphone pocket squares. LG's release also foreshadowed that this flexibility doesn't means that these smartphones are unbreakable... Be they curved or sloped or straight, without any glass to be shatter down when it'l be dropped it will cost you much to be get repaired. These displays may even end up much lighter and thinner than their ancestors which are more thicker than these ones they were not even curved and flexible like them, so there should be more room for the battery.
LG and Samsung both have gone so far in this field of cell phones advanced upgraded era alot so far, and these celphones are the one and only area where the technology has a lot of potential to go ahead and get more upgraded and advanced (think cars, wearables, and helmets). But instead of expecting a radical, bendable departure in phone design, take note instead of what Samsung previewed at a small press event at CES 2013.
It's not a revolution, but it's definitely a start.
as its a new era to enter the new advanced curved, bendable smartphones among us. its a new innovation by these two world building companies.. hopefully we can wait for the smartest phone which will be foldable like handkerchief and will be unbreakable.. for sure it will be among us someday..!!
