Google has always been culpable of rolling out its latest Android version much later than Apple (for iOS). Recent reports have vindicated this notion, as Android 5.0 Lollipop is yet to reach more than 98% of Android devices across the globe.
So, comparing these numbers with Indian market doesn't make sense right now but slowly gradually, brands are making sure that Lollipop reaches consumers, sooner than later. And what's even more pleasing is the sight of local mobile companies doing their bit for Lollipop's cause. Intex thereby becomes the first brand in the country to introduce Lollipop out-of-box via Intex Aqua Star L smartphone.
You can get it just for Rs 6,990 and having features such as:
5 inch standard display
quad-core CPU
1 GB RAM
8GB inbuilt storage
8MP rear
2 MP front facing cameras.
It supports dual-SIM connectivity, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth among others.
What's startling to see is that Android One, the Google-ventured project is yet to receive its share of Lollipop update; instead domestic brands have taken the onus on themselves to get the ball rolling.
Hopefully Aqua Star L will be available there in snapdeal from next week.
