    It has been a common perception that Macintosh PCs and Laptops are more secure as compared to Windows PCs, but not after this research. This worm can end up your Mac into a garbage. Researchers Trammel Hudson and Xeno Kovah, who have developed a worm which is first of its kind that attacks Mac's firmware. This worm attacks the BIOS and runs inside the BIOS which is the primary firmware of your system.

It is hard to detect the thing which is running inside the firmware and even the antivirus could not capable to scan the firmware or do not have the permission to do so. A BIOS firmware is something which helps to start your computer's operating system and all the other components attached to it. You cannot get rid with this problem because does not get wiped or reinstall. It can spread itself when you connect some external device to your computer and affects the device firmware too.
