Toyota and DEKA Research and Development last week announced an agreement that will restore development of the iBot, a wheelchair that can climb stairs. Yes you read it write, now the disables one can climb up the stairs with this new innovation.
Thanks to both of these giant which has restarted this noble job which was previously initiated by the Johnsons and johnsons. their vehicle could not sustain the cost of the vehicle, that was little earlier too (2001). that time the chipset required for the vehicle like, accelerometer, gyroscopes were not that at that reasonable prices at which they are now.
Using the I-bot one can stand upto 6-feet of height and can easily stand and walk with it's companion.
Let's hope they finish of this miracle soon and with stand the hopes and desires of all who need it.
